(You may commence eye-rolling, SM.)

OK...so, what was your favorite Halloween costume as a kid?

****SM rolling eyes*****

I was a cowgirl when I was 5. I had jeans and cowboy boots and a fringed shirt like Dale Evans wore and of course, the little felt cowgirl hat. But the piece de resistance was my "horse on a stick" "Buckeye"! Long after Halloween had come and gone Buckeye and I would hop down our long driveway to get the mail everyday.

next question...

What would be your perfect New Year's Eve thing to do?

What would be your perfect New Year's Eve thing to do?

What I did last year and am planning to do again this year -

Spend it in my local pub with my friends (some of whom are also the band playing that night),

then go to my mate's house for an all night party :party-smiley-020:

Who would you like to play you in a film of your life?

Kate Winslet. Or maybe Amy Adams.

Unless, of course, Colin Firth is playing my love interest. In that case, NO ONE is standing in for me! :P

Holy shi!te, Spring...he is CREEPY! Scary f'ing movie btw.

what is the most exotic food you have ever tried?

Hmmm....sandhill crane jambalaya or slow cooked snapping turtle. Which would be more exotic? Oh, then there was that time I actually tried squirrel. (And no, it doesn't taste "just like chicken.")

If someone handed you a few thousand dollars and a ticket to fly anywhere in the world, where would you go?

(And I promise to stay off of this thread for awhile now!)

Guam, where I can get an uncontested divorce in seven days.

NEW QUESTION:

Imagine you're going to write a book... what would it be about? (And BB, you can answer this one too if you get here first.)

No, I really did eat Sandhill Crane Jambalaya. This was back in college at a function put on for students from non-hunting families by the department and DNR. I wish I could remember the explanation for why it was available; these were very well respected conservationists and my university had a very good relationship with the International Crane Foundation.

BTW, it was delicious.

Uh, seriously? My marriage and divorce. You can't make this sh!te up! That said, I'm not ready to do it yet. I want it to be non-fiction and I need to cement my glorious happy ending first. :D

Okay, now I'll seriously leave this thread to the others...

But first, a question:

What is the book that has had the most profound affect on you?

Q: What is the weirdest dream you ever had?

Definitely this one...

(Copying and pasting a portion of the email I sent to my legal assistant, "Sandra")

I stopped by your office to take you all out for a drink. Grace (my attorney) was even tinier and cuter than normal; her hair was up in pigtails. Unfortunately, she couldn't join us, but decided that I looked cold and, before we left, she wrapped me up in a 20 foot long scarf (because in my dream, she knits and apparently doesn't know when to stop).

We ordered wine at [a riverside wine bar], but after half a glass, "Amy" (my paralegal) and I were so exhausted from working on my case that we decided it was time to go home.

You had actually fallen asleep, so I gave you a piggy back ride (which was a really odd picture, given that you must be 8 inches taller than I am).

At one point, Amy needed to turn left to head home, but she told me that if I continued on for one block, took a right, and walked another ten blocks, I'd reach your house.

I continued on for one block, turned right, walked another block, and carried you into a light blue house with white trim. Then, I took you upstairs and tucked you into bed.

When I tip-toed downstairs, I noticed that every table, shelf, and shadow box was filled with figurines of blonde-haired Dutch girls wearing blue dresses and wooden shoes.

Then I noticed that each picture frame contained a photograph of a young Korean girl with bleach-blond hair in tight little ringlets, and it was then that I realized I was in the wrong house. Amy had told me to walk ten blocks, but I had only continued on for one.

I also became suddenly aware that this girl was dealing with an identity crisis; she was Korean, but had been raised in Holland and no amount of blond ringlets or blue dresses or wooden shoes would ever change the fact that she would never look like the girls she had grown up with.

I snuck upstairs hoping I could carry you out of the house without waking either of you up, but the girl heard me come into her room. She sat up in bed and started screaming, which, of course, startled you and you sat up in bed and started screaming too.

I tried to apologize and offer assurances to this girl, who had partially grown out her blond ringlets with sleek black hair, that I wasn't there to hurt her, when you stormed out, refusing my apologies.

You never spoke to me again.

Then, I sat on the street corner and cried, while the sound of police sirens drew closer.

That's when I sat up in bed and realized I had slept past my alarm and had ten minutes to get DS8 to school.

Crazy, eh?

Okay, new question:

If you could insert yourself into your favorite onscreen romance, which one would it be...

I would go to Paris to meet up with everyone. Then I would be a tourist and see Paris, taste the wines and teas and just explore. Then I would go to a very remote part and rest and be alone with friends and family that I love but no one else and have the time of my life!!

Q...

It you could make a dream come true, what would it be?

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab Utah. The world's largest animal sanctuary. These are the folks featured in National Geographic's "Dogtown".

St. Tigggywinkles Wildlife Hospital outside of London, UK. The world's largest animal hospital specializing in wildlife rehabilitation. They are named for the hedgehog Mrs. Tiggywinkles in the children's book classic. Hedgehogs are their specialty.

No More Homeless Pets. An American group with offices all over the US that specializes in helping spay and neuter pets. Their services are either free or low cost. Mainly because of their efforts, euthanasia of animals in shelters in America has dropped almost half in the past ten years.

I'd split it up a third, a third, a third. :-)

Now, my question.

When, I'm sad... the movie that I watch to cheer me up is....

When, I'm sad... the movie that I watch to cheer me up is....

For the last several years, when I was sad, I'd watch a really sad movie. This winter though, when I was struggling with the hearing and my crazy job, I watched Elf for weeks straight. There was just something about watching Will Ferrell parade around in those ridiculous yellow tights...I couldn't suppress a smile.
