Anniversary..........of being "out"

Recommended Posts

It's been quite the journey and there are still days that I get triggers from people, situations, Facebook, TV, etc. but mostly my life is good!

At 67 my work and church life are full and active and productive...............and I have recouped over half of the portion of my 401 I gave him.........plus I have savings and a car that's paid off!!

Two years ago today my divorce was final after 31 years of marriage...........there is no drama or chaos in my household and most days I love my life.  I would love to be able to find someone special, but I know I can also be happy as a single person for the rest of my life.

Isn't it great to live without drama and chaos!  Once you've experienced the peace that comes with getting rid of an abuser, you'll never tolerate the drama and chaos that comes with an abuser again.

Congratulations on making it out!  It's hard to start over at any age, but as someone who is also in her 60s, I know it's harder when you're older and been with a person almost half of your lifetime.  But divorcing an abuser is so worthwhile!
